The Big Prawn Company has completed a new LED lighting installation using Fotolec Technologies Ltd. Philips Fortimo powered IP66 luminaires.
The Big Prawn Company, like many other food production sites, was faced with increasing energy and maintenance costs incurred by inefficient fluorescent lighting.
The challenge for Fotolec Technologies Ltd. was to find an energy saving, low maintenance affordable solution that would improve light levels whilst being able to withstand a chemical cleaning regime.
Energy savings of up to 57% were achieved with Fotolec Technologies Ltd. 50w SurVivaLED IP66 Philips Fortimo powered luminaires. The 50,000 hour service life will greatly reduce maintenance costs and its chemical resistant GRP body and PMMA diffuser will withstand Big Prawn’s chemical cleaning regime.
